Mitsubishi EVO's successor could be a diesel hybrid!

Sources talk about this Motor Trend, which argue that the next generation of Mitsubishi Lancer will be built on the platform of the Renault Megane, and the EVO will have its own architecture and a new hybrid drivetrain.

Yet the concept is held in great mystery, but it is known already that under the hood sedanului Japanese unit will be installed in three-cylinder diesel with a volume of 1. 1-liter powerplant, the same that sets in motion the concept XR-PHEV concept.  We know that sounds odd but nothing's impossible for Mitsubishi that promise to install and two electric motors for front and rear axle, powered by batteries, which will be hidden under the back seat of the car.

It is not known any return on them though, should we expect a total of at least 200 horsepower to deliver our newest all-wheel drive system, recently developed by Mitsubishi engineers.
