Audi invests increasingly in developing new models!

Volkswagen Group has increased its investment budget for future models, climbing to 20 billion euros by 2018.  Audi will use its share of the budget to develop 11 new models.




Audi will increase investments in development of new models to catch up on their rivals from BMW.  Investment plan of Ingolstadt's mark has not yet been published, but the Volkswagen Group has announced that it will invest more than 20 billion euros in its divisions by 2018.  Basically, the Group LOOSELY will invest four billion euros per year every year for the development of new models, a significant increase compared to the budget established in December for the following year, which provided for investment 2. 6 billion euros per year.


For the first time in the history of the brand Audi, Germans will concentrate on the production of several cars outside Germany than within the country.  Audi's plan for 2018 is to become the largest producer of premium in the world and sells more than two million cars a year until that term.  According to AMS, Germans from Audi will launch 11 new models by 2018, along with a series of facelift, to compete with peer BMW, current leader of the overall premium sales side.

The information was confirmed by Rupert Stadler, Audi's CEO.  The news came with the announcement of delivery more than 1. 5 million units in the current year, a first in the history of the mark and a two years ahead of schedule.  To celebrate this, copy the number 1. 500. 000 delivered in 2013, an Audi A3 Sportback, will be delivered personally by Rupert Stadler, Audi's CEO Luca de Meo and, head of sales at a special ceremony in Germany.
